On August 28, 2018, forty-nine women came together to charter the NAWIC Palmetto Chapter of South Carolina #385. The excitement and passion that was evident that day, continues to grow, and points to an unmet need in our community for a place where women in construction can find professional support, development opportunities, and like minded individuals passionate about our industry.

It was a packed house at the Timberland High School college, career, and hiring expo! We connected with hundreds of 9th–12th grade students, many of whom showed a real interest in construction and trade careers. Grateful for the opportunity to represent the industry and spark some inspiration 📚🧱🔩🔨we’re looking forward to being at Cross’ expo this Wednesday!

We had a wonderful Lunch & Learn with our GC Executive sponsor, @sunbeltrentals! We saw a demo of their Cleaning Drone. It can easily, and safely, reach hard to clean spaces, as well as clean building exterior surfaces, roofs, and windows - SUPER COOL! We also got to see their weekend warrior line up - log splitters, sod cutters, lawn aerators, hedge trimmers among many more.
